Deluxe Suites: Zulu Rock Lodge offers two Deluxe Suites, ideal for couples who prefer to be close to the main lodge and pool. Each suite has a private patio with an outdoor fire pit, providing the perfect setting to unwind after an exciting day at our bush lodge accommodation.
Luxury Suites: Three luxury suites provide stunning panoramic views of the Babanango Game Reserve. Guests can relax on cliff-face decks and take in the wildlife roaming the valley below. Each suite is away from the main lodge to ensure privacy.
Family Villa: The Family Villa, fenced from free-roaming wildlife, is perfect for families of up to four people. This two-bedroom suite offers a relaxed atmosphere with a private pool and boma, kitchenette, ample space for children to play safely, and a private indoor and outdoor lounge. Located far from the main lodge, it offers the utmost privacy and seclusion, making it ideal bush lodge accommodation for families.
Romance Suite: Located furthest from the main lodge, this expansive suite is perfect for couples. It has a private swimming pool, sun loungers, and a swing bed overlooking the valley below, setting the tone for a lifetime of bliss.
A wonderful Game Reserve nestled in the heart of Zululand. The reserve is located a short drive from King Shaka airport and is a wonderful respite from the concrete jungle.
We were looked after by amazing staff who have a passion for hospitality and rangers who have a love for nature.
In addition, The value for money that the establishment provides is second to none for a game reserve of this standard and quality!
A 10/10 rating from me! This experience ticks every bush getaway box. With views of rolling hills, rivers and lush plains, to beautifully curated spaces regardless of being in the dining area, pool or the rooms.
The food was plated beautifully and tasted just as amazing. To top it all off the staff were friendly, accommodating and ensured each and every detail was taken care of. Our guide was one of the best!
Super knowledgeable about all things nature and wildlife which kept all 5 of our drives interesting and unique. I can’t wait to visit again especially with lions and elephants on the way in 2023!
We had a beautiful 3 days stay. The place is exceptional and the pictures on the internet are doing no justice for it. Everything from the rooms, cleanliness, game drive, dining lounge and the staff service… I would definitely go back.
What a wonderful lodge. The location, the food, the rooms, it’s all perfect. Ranger Sebu in particular is highly recommended.

All the staff were very attentive, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. We also had a great guide, Ed, who was really good with the kids and full of information about all the plants, birds and animals. The food was absolutely amazing, loved every meal. Overall it was a lovely relaxing weekend away.
This was truly one of the best bush experiences we have had to date and we have traveled the African continent extensively! From our field guide Ed who is the most knowledgeable guide to meeting the Owner and hearing his incredible story. This lodge is highly recommended the history and culture of the area is as rich as seeing the big 5. The topography of the park is truly amazing. The food offering is great and they even do an evening to sample the local food which just makes for a fantastic experience!
